Integrated Regional Transport Strategy

An Integrated Regional Transport Strategy is currently being developed by the Northern Territory Government.

The strategy will provide options for reliable transport services across all regions of the Northern Territory and will contribute to developing greater education, health and social outcomes under the Working Future program and enhancing business and tourism opportunities.

The differing nature of the communities in the Territory means that a mix of road, air and marine transport is required across the regions for the movement of passenger and freight.

An integrated approach across all Regions will be applied to ensure consistency throughout the Territory, whilst ensuring the specific requirements of the regions are addressed.
