Hector the Road Safety Cat

Welcome to Hector’s website!

Hector the Road Safety Cat is the well known and much loved mascot for Road Safety in the Northern Territory. He has been teaching Territory school children how to be safe around roads for almost 30 years. Hector covers Road Safety topics like crossing the road, seatbelts, bicycle and bus safety.

Hector delivers his message at school assemblies, special events and festivals such as: Walk Safely to School Day, Back to School and Defence Force Family Fun Day. He celebrated Territory Day this year with the children of Nhulunbuy and participated in the Barunga Festival.
